Storage & quotas
Your plan includes a storage quota. Here's what counts and what happens as you approach the limit.
What counts
- Every uploaded file — JPEGs, PNGs, TIFFs, RAW files, etc.
- Thumbnails and previews generated by Folio do not count
Checking your usage
Your current storage usage is shown in Settings → Account with a bar showing used vs. total quota.

Approaching the limit
Folio sends you an email when you reach 80% and again at 95% of your quota.
Over the limit
Uploads pause when you exceed your quota. Existing galleries remain accessible to your clients — nothing is deleted.
To resume uploading:
- Upgrade to a higher plan, or
- Delete files you no longer need
Freeing up space
Delete portfolios, galleries, or individual photos from the dashboard. Deleted files are permanently removed and the space is reclaimed immediately.
Folio does not have a trash or recycle bin — deletions are permanent.
