Password protection

Add a password to any gallery so only the people you share it with can view it.

Setting a password

1. Open the gallery and click Share
2. Choose Password protection & expiry
3. Enable Password protection and enter a password
4. Save

Clients see a password prompt when they open the gallery link. They don't need a Folio account — just the password you give them.

Changing or removing a password

Update or clear the password from the same Password protection & expiry screen. Changes take effect immediately — the old password stops working the moment you save.

Tips

• Use a different password for each gallery, not a shared studio password
• Combine a password with an expiry date for timed proofing rounds
• Passwords aren't recoverable — if you lose one, just set a new one
